Taylor is part of the Central Auckland crew, serving the majority of suburbs in the Auckland isthmus and some areas of Waitakere in the western side of Auckland. Being a Crewcut franchise owner for more than seven years now, he is one of the more senior members of his team. His fellow operators turn to him for advice regarding operating a business almost exclusively dedicated to lawn mowing work. He prefers working using a Honda mower and a Stihl trimmer when he’s out and about.

Prior to joining Crewcut, he had a background as a cleaner. The flexible lifestyle that a lawn mowing business provided became the deciding factor on why he made the switch. It just suited him more compared to what he used to do. He happily shares that he has kept his franchise pretty steady over the years even without the help of an assistant.

Taylor says the best skill that brought him to where he is in the business now is his friendly demeanour and his positive attitude towards customers.

When he’s not mowing lawns, you’d find him playing golf, so he’s still to an extent surrounded by green. He just loves the outdoors that way, and that’s why a career as a lawn mowing operator has been working for him since.
