After spending close to two decades as a professional tuba player in the Band of the Royal New Zealand Navy, Craig was looking for a lifestyle change. He knew he wanted to work outdoors and become his own boss, so he jumped at the chance to join Crewcut in 2020.

Gearing himself up with a Victa professional mower, a Testarossa mower, a Shindaiwa line trimmer, and an Echo blower, he is set about building his customer base and providing a professional service across Auckland.

Now, his customers know him for lawn mowing and weed-eating that saves them a lot of time and effort. Craig has always been fit and active, so the lifestyle change to lawn mowing and weed eating wasn’t a drastic one. He’s fussy in his workmanship and enjoys helping his customers become proud of their properties.

But it’s not all work and no play for Craig. In his downtime, he enjoys playing the tuba with North Shore Brass and spending time with his family and grandson on the weekends.

Since joining Crewcut, Craig has learned a lot. He believes that it’s essential to take on board as much advice as possible, be organised, flexible, and plan your workload.
