Lawrence has been around the block a few times with Crewcut. For over 21 years he has been servicing from Browns Bay to Milford with a few in Whangaparoa. Lawrence focuses purely on providing the best lawn mowing service he can offer. Whether it’s side throw, catcher, or mulcher you want, he can do it with his collection of mowers including a Victa and a Briggs and Stratton mower.

By trade, Lawrence is a butcher. Since the age of 15, he trained in this profession and worked his way to being the Butchery Manager at Foodtown. But when he decided it was time for a change, Crewcut caught him with the quoting system and the flexibility. He felt that the quoting system was fair and delivered for both the client and the service provider. And due to the flexibility available, he can work 4 days and earn enough income. He plans on retiring not too far into the future but he has the ideal list of customers.

Lawrence also has a passion for fishing. Every Friday he tries to get out on his kayak and reel in any snapper or kingfish that get hooked. He’ll launch anywhere but his favourite spots including the Tawharanui Peninsula, Kawau, and Hawke’s Bay.

The key lessons he’s learnt since being with Crewcut is that you need to be motivated, be reliable, and do a fair job. You need to be motivated to get outside even on those rainy days because that’s how you make the money. By being reliable and doing a fair job he can proudly say he hasn't lost a customer due to bad service. He’s still holding onto clients from his first-ever run. By keeping those three key elements, a lawn mowing operator will find success.
