You’ll find David from Blockhouse Bay to the City and everywhere in between. He provides his lawn mowing, hedge trimming and gardening services in these areas including Mt Albert, New Windsor, New Lynn, Mount Roskill, and Sandringham. He's another loyal Shindaiwa user when it comes to his tools, and uses a Victa mower for his lawns that he mulches.
By trade, David is a mechanical engineer who worked in a factory doing computer drafting, running CNC machinery and processing sheet metal. He moved onto Crewcut to gain some freedom in his life. He doesn’t need to be working 8 to 5 anymore. It was Crewcut’s strong branding and it’s great reputation for excellent service that sold this business to him. He believes we’re the best company for this industry in Auckland. He still wants to build the business even more but only enough where he can maintain his flexibility. David runs the business by himself too, all the paperwork included.
In his free time, he watches a bit of sport, but his main passion is taking the time to teach religion. He goes to schools and churches and teaches the bible to those who are wanting to learn more. He finds the communication he has practised with his church an important skill when it comes to dealing with his customers. His hands-on skills have also been a major benefit for his business as he can carry out all this practical work with ease. His advice to anyone who wants to start a Crewcut business is that you need to be reliable, punctual, and tough. The weather can be rough some days but you learn how to work with it.
