Nigel and Tarn are newcomers with Crewcut, having only just bought their own franchise in Pyes Pa, Tauranga with the help of their new clients as investors. Now, with their 'work hard, play hard' mentality, the couple is motivated to make the most out of their new business and provide both existing and new clients with tidy lawns and gardens. 

After working in the Australian mines and operating excavators in Tauranga, Nigel decided he wanted a better work/lifestyle balance. He did a lot of research and after reading and talking to people in the trade and realising it was for them, Nigel and his wife opted for a Crewcut franchise.  

Bringing the experience from his previous jobs with him, Nigel offers his clients not only lawn mowing and hedge trimming as services, but also landscaping and minor concrete work, meaning the possible options for your garden and lawn are greatly expanded. That, combined with Nigel's friendly, respectful nature and eye for attention to detail makes him the ideal man for the job. 

When not at work, the couple enjoys traveling in their motorhome, kayaking, fishing, and relaxing in their own spa pool. And when it’s busy at work, it’s a great opportunity for Nigel to learn the importance of time management and the need for great communication skills and to have a professional attitude.

Imparting some words of wisdom to fellow franchisees, he says, “Try to leave work outside of the home door.... love your life and wife.”
