Matika from Tauranga is an enthusiastic learner in the gardening and lawn care business, having just bought his own franchise. As a previous earthworks machine operator, Matika decided to pursue his dream of owning a business while doing something he really enjoys. That brought him to the Crewcut family, excited to get started.

Serving the areas of Brookfield, Otumoetai, and Bethlehem, Matika will work together with his wife, who’ll  mainly help out with bookkeeping. There are already plans to employ additional staff in the future to help with mowing the lawns as the business grows and Matika reaches his goal of having at least 120 clients. With his ability to think outside the box and equipped with an array of trusted Masport gardening tools, that shouldn't be too hard.   

Now for anyone also considering buying a Crewcut franchise, Matika advises to ask a lot of questions, read the brochures, and to be confident with your decisions. Of course, also make sure you have raised enough capital before purchasing your own gardening and lawn care company.

When not at work, you will find Matika spending time with his family or getting some downtime with a good book.
