From Okere, to Fairy Springs, to Ngongotaha, Allan and Alison provide their range of services. Geared up with a Walker ride on, push mower, Stihl Combi unit, and a blower - they maintain an excellent service. With their main services being lawn mowing, hedge trimming and pruning, they keeps an extremely happy client base. Before joining  Crewcut, Allan was the cinema manager over at Mount Maunganui. He started as a projectionist but worked his way to the managerial position. Alison had been working in offices. When they moved to Rotorua, they decided it would be better for them to buy a business to earn their income. His doctor recommended a more active job, so lawn mowing seemed like a great option. When they looked for the right business, they recognised Crewcut from their time living in Auckland during the 90s. Their goal with the business is to grow it to the point where they can hire someone to maintain the service while they can step back and tend to their apiary business more. Allan and Alison work closely together when they can both make it out and make an amazing couple team.

In the time they don’t spend providing lawn & garden services, they also run a growing Apiary business with hives from Tauranga to Auckland. Allan is also a part-time minister for the local Presbyterian church. The rest of the time they have is dedicated to their family, and especially to their grandkids. They find they need to be able to chat with customers but also be ready to be diplomatic when necessary. It’s also crucial to stay calm when things don’t go the way they should. Their advice for people looking into buying a lawn mowing business is to buy the business before spring, be fit, and really enjoy being outdoors. You don’t want it to be just a job, you want it to be a business you can flourish in. Make sure to engage with your customers, and you’ll get that great satisfaction when looking back on a day's work.
